You don't stop having fun because you grow old....
you grow old because you stop having fun!

Randy has had a love of drag racing his entire life. In his early teens would race his 64 Chevy at the local track in Lubbock, Texas. After moving to California in the mid 1970's the first thing Randy did was find a local track to drag race his 69 Chevelle.
Randy took a job in the transmission industry rebuilding transmissions and soon became the company go to guy for problems. In his first few years he met one of his closest friends Don Seale who also shared a love of drag racing. Don had a Vega that he raced and Randy helped him at the track. Over the years Don had several cars that Randy helped out with including a 55 Chevy Pro-Mod.
When Randy's son Cory was just 13 they bought a 53 Chevy pickup and commenced to rebuild it into a hot rod! The project took several years to complete but before long they had it at the track running 12.8 in the quarter mile. Not bad for a truck that Cory also drove back and forth to school.
Cory and Randy continued their love of drag racing and on the day that Don said "Let's build a Funny Car" they both smiled from ear to ear. They took a little over a year building it and joined the California Funny Car Association (CIFCA). Cory now driving the funny car was having one of his dreams come true.
Randy continued to crew for Don and Cory and was always the proud Dad but he never outgrew his desire to go fast himself. Before the funny car Don and the guys had also built a F-Dragster but only raced it a couple times before moving on to build the funny car.
Well in December of 2007 deciding it would be a great Christmas present Randy bought the F-Dragster! Now he can begin fulfilling his desires too.
The car is a rear engine dragster with a Gaerte-Rodeck 4 cylinder engine that is commonly used in midget race cars.
Randy got his NHRA license last summer and will begin running the dragster competitively in the 2009 season.
